Organization's mandate

The mission of Parks Foundation Calgary is to enhance the quality of life of all Calgarians through the development of parks, river valleys and amateur sports. Parks Foundation Calgary leads major capital projects like the reconstruction of the Harvie Passage Weir and the Calgary Greenway Project.

The prime focus of Parks Foundation Calgary is providing recreational opportunities that are available and accessible at no charge to everyone in the community. Parks Foundation Calgary conserves wetlands through the development of the Calgary Greenway Project. A future project will demonstrate and educate on the use of technology to transform a brownfield site into a greenfield.


Donation or sales

Parks Foundation Calgary will facilitate donations of land to the City of Calgary.


Compensation

The City of Calgary will issue the tax receipt for donations of land.
