The Miistakis Institute is a non-profit research institute affiliated with Mount Royal University. Miistakis envisions a world where communities have genuine access to the science and research they need to make choices that promote healthy landscapes. One of the Miistakis Institute's key research areas is private land conservation. Although Miistakis is not a land trust, we work closely with land trusts, land owners, municipalities and other stakeholders to support them in private land conservation efforts.
